Skin is the most important part of the body especially when it comes to looks and external consciousness. Dry skin is itself a big problem during which skin tends to peel off and itch. This becomes a major problem if it is accompanied by it. This leads to cracking of the skin that result in sore formation and sometimes bleeding also. Skin tends to dry more frequently during winters. Thus to treat it, skin care scientists have used different chemicals, herbals plant and animal extracts to cure it and make the skin look more young and youthful. Nourishing the skin is the most important fact in treating it. Moisture is the key factor in its treatment. Apart from moisturizing the skin, it is important to retain the moisture of skin also, So there are two important things in treating dry skin acne, first is providing sufficient moisture to the skin and secondly to retain that moisture for maximum period of time. Skin can absorb moisture immediately after baths or showers hence moisturizing lotions or creams should be applied directly after bath.

Several components like aloe Vera, essential mineral oils, and glycerin show a tremendous increase in moisture content of skin. Diet plays an important role in controlling it. Oral medications and ointments are available in market but must be applied only under the guidance of physicians. The type of clothes that one wears matters a lot. It is advisable to wear cotton and light clothes against synthetic material that can trap sweat and further add to the problem. Regular cleansing of the skin will help the skin to maintain a healthy, attractive looking, surface. Physical exercises are also quite essential for healthy skin as it improves blood circulation thus bringing more oxygen to the skin. Relaxation techniques like meditation and yoga also helps in most cases with acne.
