If you’re anything like me, you’ve tried every acne ‘cure’ under the sun with little to no success. Here’s the problem: All the creams, lotions, and antibiotics in the world will NOT cure your acne, and in some cases can make it much worse. The only way to completely cure acne for good is to make certain lifestyle changes.
These changes are as follows: Diet, exercise, and supplementation.
Diet is arguably the most important of the three, but they all work in unision. You must start avoiding acne-causing foods if you are genetically predisposed to have acne (which we are). This means any foods that promote inflammation, mess with your hormones, or spike your insulin levels must be dropped from your diet immediately.
Next on the agenda is the dreaded ‘E’ word, exercise. I know you may not want to hear it, but certain forms of exercise help to regulate over-active hormones and improve circulation. Simply getting 30 minutes a day for as little to 4 times a week is a drastic improvement and your skin will absolutely show it.
Lastly, supplementation is something I highly recommend to speed the clearing process along. I recommend 3 high quality supplements that can be found relatively inexpensively at any health food store. One such supplement is called Spirulina, and it is one of the most nutrient dense super-foods on the planet.
