There are many types of acne, but the most common form occurs during the teenage years when young adults experience a dramatic increase in hormone levels. These hormones signal the skin glands to produce more oil. When this oil mixes with dead cells, it can clog pores in the skin and trap bacteria as well. The result is often a raised tissue area characterized by swelling, redness, and pus. These bumps are also known as “pimples,” the symptom most commonly associated with acne. Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access! Acne can occur anywhere on the face, neck, back, or chest, and severe cases can lead to social alienation, or emotional and physical scars. Although mild acne can not be entirely prevented, you can take three steps to minimize its impact. Gently Cleanse Your Skin: Each day, gently wash your skin with lukewarm water. Avoid scrubbing your face too hard or washing it too often. Doing so can make your acne worse. Also avoid using skin and hair care products that contain excess oil. Instead, use water-based skin care soaps that gently cleanse your skin, such as Neutrogena or Dove. Apply Topical Ointments: At least once daily, but no more than three times a day, apply a nonprescription topical ointment to problematic areas. One of the best products is Clearasil because it contains both benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Benzoyl peroxide works to unplug clogged pores, while salicylic acid helps clear up blemishes by causing the top layer of skin to peel. Products that contain tea tree oil (commonly found in gels, creams, and lotions) or alpha-hydroxy acid are also desirable. However, remember that if you use a product too often, your acne can get worse. So confine your applications to less than three times per day unless otherwise directed by a doctor. Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access! Avoid the Following: Make sure to avoid the following acts which can trigger acne flare-ups: overexposure to the sun, the wearing of tight-fitting items that rub against the skin, excess stress, constant touching of the face, working with oils or harsh chemicals, excessive sweating, hair hanging in your face, or the use of hair care products that contain oils. Also avoid squeezing pimples. Squeezing pimples can result in an infection and/or long-term scaring. While mild acne is annoying, it will eventually pass. Most people will outgrow acne by their early-twenties, so there is reason to be optimistic. Make each of the above steps part of your daily routine, and you should be able to control your acne. However, those with more severe cases of acne should consult a dermatologist. Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access!br

It is a part of life. Acne is something that everyone is going to have to deal with at one point or another in their lives. It usually happens that a person will have to deal with acne during their teenage or pubescent years. It is something that no one looks forward to, but it is something that you most likely will have to deal with no matter what. You can not escape it, so you had better learn how to deal with it. Even if you cannot escape acne, there are certainly ways that you can deal with it, and ways that you can make it into something that is easier for you to live with. First of all, even if you are prone to acne, or it is something that you have in your family, you can do things that will influence the severity of your personal acne. It is something that is based mostly upon your own skin and your skin conditions, however, like anything that might be partially environmentally controlled, there are things that you can do to lessen or increase the severity of your acne. Click for All Natural Cure For Stopping Acne In 3 Days! One of the most important factors would be the way that you care for your skin. If you are washing your face every day, and taking care so that you are using proper substances on your face, you are going to be able to lessen the severity of your own acne. Acne responds well to keeping your face and body clean, however there are right and wrong ways to go about this. You should use a soap that is designed for cleaning your face. Facial soaps contain ingredients that will not dry out or irritate your skin, while regular soaps meant for your body will dry out your skin and irritate it, causing the potential for more acne, not less. Using a body wash or other soap on your face is going to cause more harm than good because of the dyes, oils, or perfumes that might be in these types of soaps. Another important step to keeping your face clean is to use a good toner which will clean your pores and keep them free of dirt and sweat. Clogged pores are a symptom of a face that is not clean, and it is something that will lead to more acne. A good toner will help your skin adjust to being clean and allow you to have a smooth and clean face. The last step to keeping your face healthy is to put a face lotion on after you have washed your face and patted it dry. Click for All Natural Cure For Stopping Acne In 3 Days! A good lotion that is intended for face care can help you fight acne. There are face washes, toners, and face lotions that are meant specifically for acne, and these might have medicines included in them. These are also a good way to keep your face acne free, or to treat acne that you have already had. Another important factor in making acne easier to live with has to do with your diet. Eating foods that are high in sugar might increase your risk of getting acne. A good healthy and balanced diet will help your face use the natural oils to prevent more acne from appearing. There are also environmental factors that might hinder the clarity of your face. It is important that you pay attention to the things around you and how they effect your skin. There are certain things in the air that might irritate your face and cause more acne. Acne is something that you are going to have to live with. However, with a proper diet and good face care, you are going to be able to live much easier with it. Click for All Natural Cure For Stopping Acne In 3 Days!br

Helping Your Wife Cope Acne In Pregnancy
Monday, November 23rd, 2009Author: Ashish Jain
Source: isnare.com
Pregnancy is the most crucial period in the life of a woman. Especially, the time she is pregnant for the first time, it gets too difficult for her to maintain her mental equilibrium and posture. She remains most tender; and unexplainable feelings of anxiety grip her. This is the time, when she requires understanding and sympathy, the most.
The most unwelcome development for her during this period is sickness. She remains always doubly worried. Firstly, about her own constitution, and next, how to properly support the other growing tiny self within her! Her worry about the later aspect is much more.
And there at times come acne to add to her sorry state. Acne is a disease that upsets the woman even during the normal times. And during pregnancy she is doubly upset, because she has information that acne is a hereditary disease. Her intense worry is that, what if the child gets acne?
Herein, you can play a guard to the emotions of your wife. As such you can not do anything to help your wife to cope acne in pregnancy. But you can surely get her the best medical advice and provide or not provide her medication, on the lines indicated by the medical practitioner. Your sympathy and understanding and kind words are more than any balm, lotion or gel to her.
You can provide her with good reading material or articles on how the other women have faced similar situations in their life and how they were able to tackle it successfully.
Such success stories do a lot to boost her moral courage. That is the real medication needed at this time of her life. Don’t allow her heavy mood swings to overpower her. Keep her in good humor by talking to her sweet nothings and by telling her that acne is indeed a minor problem!
But if the depression persists, it could be Postpartum Depression (PPD). Before it gets serious, consult a psychiatrist or a specialist.
The correct causes of acne are still not known. It is a subject, under active research. Acne could be due to the side effects of certain other medications. Stress and pregnancy could itself be the reason for acne. So, you can carefully advise your wife against stressing out on this aspect of acne.
At this stage, what she needs is your constant company. You are a better subject to talk to, than the subject of acne. Spend as much time as is possible in her company. That is the best that you can do for her.

Acne is a severe skin disease that affects millions of people worldwide. The clogged pores on your skin are in fact what causes acne. If you don’t already know clogging usually happens because of the oily soaps, creams and face lotions you might use, dead skin cells and dust that also leads to clogging. Many patients with acne think that acne is due to hormonal imbalances which in fact is true. Excess skin oils are produced by hormonal imbalances which lead to clogging, therefore acne occurs and starts to spread even more.
Anyone looking to cure acne naturally should do something to stop clogging from occurring and stay away from all sorts of oily soaps and products that can affect them even more. Another way to cure acne naturally is by changing your eating habits and having a nutritious and healthy diet. You might not know but diet and acne are very close related one to another. Highly avoid eating processed foods, fast-foods, sodas and any other type of foods that are high in sugar. Instead eat fruit and vegetables that contain high quantities of Vitamin A and C that have proved to help acne. Such foods will help you keep a balance in your metabolism and help your hormonal system to stop producing excess skin oils.
There are several other ways to cure acne naturally. Try and drink at least 8 glasses of water every day to keep your body hydrated at all times. Water will not only hydrate your body but it will help your body to eliminate all the toxins. Apart from a healthy diet all patients with acne should make exercising a regular habit and do it at least 30 minutes every single day. It is not necessary to do jogging, a twenty minute walk in your local park will do for a start. Many people prefer to do Yoga or Meditation instead of exercising which in fact is a great choice. Yoga has proved along the years that it’s one of the best ways to eliminate all the toxins in our body and maintain a healthy and positive mind.
Patients with acne can even prevent acne from spreading by washing their face regularly using a mild soap or face wash instead of an oily soap that will worsen their condition. If you don’t already know, tea-tree oil can do wonders and even cure your acne completely. The acne bacteria is one of the fastest spreading bacterias, therefore you can use tea-tree oil to stop your acne from spreading. Several other products to cure acne naturally are available in pharmacies, however you need to ask your dermatologist which ones are suitable for you before you purchase them.

Ointments
*which all come in differently labeled bottles*

Acne Treatments: Prescription Medication
Sunday, November 15th, 2009Author: Susan Richards
Source: isnare.com
Anumber of people will try to treat their acne condition on their own without consulting with a doctor. If you suffer from any kind of unusual skin condition then it is always a good idea to consult with a dermatologist. Even if your skin condition turns out to be acne, a doctor will be able to offer you valuable information and advice on how to treat it.
In cases of severe acne, it is always best to seek out treatment by a dermatologist who can prescribe the proper medication. Prescription medication is also recommended even for moderate forms of acne. They may be more effective then trying to treat it yourself. For mild forms of acne, they can often be treated using over-the-counter medications.
Types Of Prescription Acne Medications
There are two main types of prescription acne medications available: Topical and Oral. Topical prescription medications may include ingredients such as retinoids and zinc. Antibiotics can be taken as a lotion or orally, and are often used to fight acne.
Antibiotics
Tetracycline is the most common antibiotic used for treating acne. It reduces inflammation and is used to kill the bacteria responsible for the acne. It may take several weeks to a few months for antibiotic treatments to take effect. This type of treatment must continue even after the acne has cleared up. Common side effects that have been associated with Tetracycline include an increase in sensitivity to sun light. This may potentially cause a bad sunburn should the patient dwell in the sun for too long of a time. Various other side effects include hives, dizziness and upset stomachs.
Children under the age of 12 and pregnant woman should not take tetracycline because it may discolor growing teeth. It is also important to note that women who take tetracycline may suffer from increased incidences of vaginal yeast.
Ointments
Oral antibiotics may result in more complications than antibiotic ointments. Antibiotic ointments are effective in killing bacteria that causes acne. When they are used in conjunction with other topical treatments like benzoyl peroxide, the bacteria may not develop resistance to the antibiotics.
Retinoids
Retinoids are derived from vitamin A. They can be found in the form of creams and lotions and can be applied directly onto the skin. Topical types of retinoid medications can help to open up clogged pores. These medications can be beneficial in treating whiteheads and blackheads. A common side effect of topical retinoids is dry skin. Oral retinoids can be beneficial in severe forms of acne that don’t usually respond to other types of treatments. This type of treatment causes the body to produce less sebum which will result in a reduced amount of oily skin. Oral retinoids will also open up the pores by causing the upper layer of skin to peel.
Anyone using oral retinoids should be fully aware of the possible serious side effects that may occur:
1.) Pregnant mothers-to-be should be aware of the possible dangers of birth defects.
2.) Women who are under retinoid treatment should use two forms of birth control.
3.) May also cause depression or liver damage.
It is very important to seek out regular medical attention to avoid any complications that may arise during retinoid treatments.
Other Medications
Birth control pills can also be an effective treatment for acne in some women. They help change the hormone levels within the body and reduce the acne causing effects of testosterone. Zinc can be an effective treatment in some cases and is a relatively new form of treatment.
Finally, it is very important to discuss with your dermatologist about the best treatment for your particular acne.

If you are currently suffering from acne you probably already know that it can be both embarrassing and painful. With this article I will do my best to help you get rid of acne by providing you with the best acne treatments available. Our goal is to provide you with the information you need before your problem gets out of hand. Acne can easily affect your social life in many ways, so you need to find a fast solution to your skin problems. You really don’t have to go through all of this, the embarrassment, the pain if you ca finally find the best acne treatments.
What are the Best Acne Treatments for Mild Acne Cases?
If you are suffering from mild acne, there is no need to apply strong medicine on the affected area of your body. Some of the best acne treatments for this type of case would be to simply do some gentle cleansing of your skin. To achieve this you could simply use some mild soap or some local benzoyl peroxide on the affected area. Doing this will help kill the bacteria, and will help relieve you of your mild acne problem in just a couple of days. On the other hands it this type of treatment does not work you will have to see a dermatologist for the proper treatment.
What if you are Suffering from Moderate to Severe Case of Acne?
In those particular cases the use of a more aggressive treatment is necessary. The best acne treatments in those cases would be to use anti-bacterial gel, lotion or cream on your acne. It is important to never apply alcohol on the affected area. Doing this will cause you a lot of unnecessary pain and will probably irritate your skin a lot more. Many studies states that alcohol is not recommended for treating acne especially if it’s located in your face.
If you are using anti-bacterial lotion, make sure you follow the instructions of your dermatologist very carefully to ensure the maximum effect. Depending on your particular condition and the severity of you acne, your dermatologist may ask you to apply medicine on the affected area multiple times a day to control the inflammation of your skin. If you intend on using anti-bacterial lotion, it is critical that you thoroughly clean the affected area before applying the lotion.
For more severe cases, the best thing to do would be to consult your dermatologists as soon as possible. If by example your skin is already showing signs of abscess, go now! In those particular cases, the best acne treatments may require techniques like, draining of the larger pimples and local treatment with anti-biotic.

Acne Treatments Home Remedy Cures and the Big Misconception Revealed by Doctor & Past Acne Sufferer
Saturday, November 7th, 2009Author: Dr James Martin
Source: ezinearticles.com
Find out how the acne industry is making millions selling treatments based on a huge acne misconception…
The Acne industry is making millions hand over fist and they are doing it based on the false pretense that acne is caused by little bacteria in your pores and they are selling creams, lotions, cleansers, infomercial products and internet websites are full of magic acne cures.
Acne is one of these conditions that everyone has an opinion or treatment for…Just look around on the internet for just a few minutes and you will agree…And be confused on what really causes acne and what is the real treatment.
It’s ridiculous. You can get really confused with all the misinformation coming from your dermatologist, doctors, and skin care “specialists” and you get answers like “use benzoyl peroxide” or “take these antibiotics” and “no, chocolate has nothing to do with acne” and on and on.
You have been taught there are little bacteria making waste products that get stuck in the sebaceous glands or pores and build up into acne whiteheads, blackheads, cytic acne, etc.
That does happen…BUT why? There are a few specific causes for those nasty bacteria to grow out of control and make more waste products and dietary factors that cause you to secrete more oils that can block up your pores.
Rubbing and scrubbing your skin will never fix acne permanently. Neither will all these lotions, creams, doctor’s magic acne “systems”, etc. They all treat the SYMPTOM…bacteria pus and your blocked pores.
Yes…some cleansers can help some acne sufferers a lot, no doubt. But for some people that isn’t good enough to solve their problem. And some of us don’t want to be put on “autoship” to have our credit cards dinged every month until the end of time because their product never FIXES the CAUSE of acne…but that’s how they want it …More money for them.
One BIG overlooked cause of acne is fungal overgrowth in the digestive tract, which is due to an environment in the large intestine set up by the effects of antibiotics in meats, chicken, dairy, and other foods. The antibiotics kill off the normal amount of intestinal bacteria that inhabit the large intestine and keep fungus from overgrowing.
When fungus grow unchecked, they multiply and grow quickly and produce more and more waste which then overloads the body’s filtering system and backs up. The waste then overflows and has to go somewhere and that somewhere is out through the largest excretory organ in the body…your skin…and that is called acne.
The SYMPTOM of acne is overgrowing bacteria and their excess waste that gets blocked in the pores and the underlying CAUSES are overlooked.
Your skin and your self esteem does not have to be constantly blemished and scarred if you know what really causes acne and what really is the best acne treatment.
If you would like more information on the real cause of acne and specifics on how to eliminate it quickly and effectively visit: http://bestacnetreatmenttips.com or http://www.squidoo.com/BestAcneTreatmentTips from Dr. James Martin at bestacnetreatmenttips.com who as a former acne sufferer and current private practice doctor searched for 11 years for a treatment for the real cause of his severe constant acne.

Hormone imbalance can be a determining factor in the amount you suffer from acne and how sever the outbreak will be. No person is safe from this irritating, embarrassing skin disorder once they come to the age of puberty. Heredity can also be a factor for those with acne as their family members may also suffer from this problem too. Acne is usually mild to moderate and stays on the top layer of skin. The severe acne goes much deeper and heals leaving scars to be a constant reminder. Others who are health conscious choose to go a more natural route. The conventional products cost more than natural alternatives and may not be as good.
Three common and easy to get items from your kitchen can be applied to the acne prone area. These three items are pumpkin, garlic, and orange peels. Each cleans the dirt and oils from the face. The orange peel brings moisture to the skin when used three times a day. The pumpkin is also great for its cleansing abilities and should be used at least twenty minutes every other day. Apply to the face and allow hardening. When removing, rinse with clear, warm water. Dry with a towel but do not rub as this irritates the pores even more. The last of the application trio is the clove of garlic. Cut the end off a section of whole garlic and rub into the are showing the acne.
Combine the proper cleanser with the proper toner and you have a winning team. They both can be made from the beneficial Tea Tree oil. This oil is what is recommended as safe and effective if used moderately on the skin. It will require some court of dilution. For a proper cleanser, add the Tea Tree Oil to unscented anti-bacterial soap. For a refreshing toner, add ten – twenty drops of Tea Tree Oil to eight ounces of witch hazel and apply after washing. Find an aloe Vera lotion with no scent or coloring in it gives you a proper moisturizing cream to apply after the cleansing is complete. Make sure that whatever lotion is chosen, it is light enough to stay out of the pores.
A better diet and exercise are always a good idea for a healthy lifestyle and is also great for controlling acne. Proper rest of eight hours each night combined with eight full glasses of water a day and the skin can flush out the toxins and heal itself as it should. The added sleep will also help to relax the body and relieve some stress. Being healthy and allowing you to let go of those things that make us eager will go a long way in controlling acne outbreaks.
6 Tips For Treating Adult Acne
Friday, November 6th, 2009Author: Robert Reddin
Source: ezinearticles.com
Acne affects more than one in four adults aged between 25 and 44. We expect teenagers to get acne, it is part of growing up, but for adults it can affect what impression it makes on others when they first meet us; and we don’t get a second chance at making a first impression. The value adults place on appearance is high, which is why finding a natural treatment can become a top priority.
For many adults suffering from acne it is a condition they acquired in their teenage years that has not gone away. They will have tried most lotions, pills and potions that are on the market, but without finding a cure. Using simple natural treatments can be surprisingly effective at treating adult acne. These natural treatments are easy to do and require nothing more than a few lifestyle adjustments:
# 1. Drink plenty of cold water every day. This will keep your body hydrated and will improve your skin texture. It will also help your body to flush out waste and toxins through your kidneys.
# 2. Cut back on drinking alcohol and smoking. Drinking alcohol and smoking both cause dehydration. One of the first places this becomes noticeable is in your skin.
# 3. Wash twice a day with a facial cleanser suitable for your skin type that has a gentle exfoliating action. This will stop your pores from becoming blocked. Ladies should remove their make up every day, especially before going to sleep at night. Keep your hair away from your face. The natural oils in your hair can lead to blocked pores.
# 4. The advice you were given as a teenager never to pick or pop your pimples is good advice for adult acne sufferers. A pimple is an infection in the pores of your skin, popping them just spreads the bacteria to other pores.
# 5. You are what you eat and what you eat directly affects your health. That includes your acne. There is no evidence that eating certain foods causes acne, but having a healthy diet will improve your condition. Your diet should be low in fat and salt. It should also contain 30 grams of dietary fibre a day. The best sources of dietary fibre are fresh fruits and vegetables. The advice from doctors and dieticians is to eat five 80 gram portions of different fruits and vegetables each day, including at least one green vegetable. They are also rich in the vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants that your body needs. A healthy diet will improve the health of your whole body, including your skin.
# 6. Get out side into the fresh air for some moderate exercise each day. Walking is the most comfortable and easiest form of exercise. Try walking a bit faster than your normal pace for a total of about 30 minutes each day. This will improve your health, your skin will look better and you will feel better.
Simply taking better care of yourself will make all the difference in the world to your health, particularly your adult acne.
